Q: How did Fa Records come about?
A: First, there was silence, then out of nowhere, came a note. That note was “Fa”. Everything else is history.
Q: Why are you using a blog for your web site?
A: Because it’s easy and it gives the readers all the info they want to know. We were inspired by a fan’s rant we read once about how it is impossible to find anything on fancy flash sites.
Q: I am an artist. Can I submit my songs to you?
A: Yes. We prefer electronic submissions. Please send a link to your myspace or EPK to info [at] farecords.com.
Q: Can I send you an mp3?
A: Please don’t. Emails with mp3s will be deleted. Send us a link instead.
Q: What do you want?
A: We are trying to make way for music that we think the world needs more of.
Q: What is your business model?
A: Digital, blogs, widgets, you know the drill. Web 2.0. and stuff. We do, however plan to start offering high-end products for conoissseurs (vinyl, expensive merch etc.) Nobody abolished quality yet.
Q: Do you make your artists work?
A: Oh yeah. As a matter of fact, we have one slaving in the kitchen right now (and he is liking it).
