Lena is Russian born singer with a bio stolen from crazy spy flicks. Yes, she even spent some time in jail on allegations of espionage. Go Bush. Her musical curiosity is stronger than her sense of propriety.
That goes for other things, too. Her self defined musical genres are “soft punk” and “mock pop”. In the course of her life she has been called “female Tom Waits” (you should hear her version of “Blue Valentines”!), “female David Bowie”, “Norah Jones on crack”, new Bjork, and finally, her own animal who does not sound like anybody else at all.

Her digital release, “My Little, Temporary Loves” is available on Nimbit starting April 27. For give-away and a contest opportunities, click here. Web site: www.myspace.com/schizowave

Alisa Apreleva is a Seattle-based Russian singer, poet and composer. She works in a wide variety of genres: from rock to jazz to authentic folklore to music theatre to film music, to name a few.
Her most recent music, written for vocals and three cellos (one of which is played by Alisa herself), though, is a completely unique sounding and emotive experience to anyone who listens to it. It is a strange, atmospheric mixture of classic, rock, ethnic and sacred elements, which takes you beyond the point of just listening to the music and gives you a chance to go for a mystical journey toward true yourself.
